Sustainable development

Having run a manufacturing company for a number of years, we are aware of the fact that our activities bring with them all-round development, but also have an impact on the environment, on our employees and on the local community, as well as on many other areas, only seemingly different from its production profile.

The products we offer have an impact not only on our direct customers, but also on their business partners and employees. Their impact also extends “backwards”, changing the conditions under which raw material suppliers, producers and transporters operate. Thus, by acting locally, we change globally! Because we are aware of this fact, we strive every day to be a company whose impact is friendly in all areas of operation. Vitrintec is sustainable

At Vitrintec, we ‘make effort’ in two ways. Firstly, we act in a sustainable manner and secondly, we try to support the domestic economy. When looking for the raw material (i.e. glass and aluminium) from which our product will be made, we try to work with local suppliers wherever possible.

In the recent years we have invested in machinery and in a building with office and production space. At present, our production is supported by two aluminium prefabrication and complex glass processing lines, a powder paint shop and other equipment necessary for production. Vitrintec’s production halls are powered by green energy (photovoltaic cells) and our products are manufactured by state-of-the-art, energy-efficient numerically controlled machines. Thanks to the concentration of operations in one location, the carbon footprint left by the company is getting smaller and smaller year on year. Our actions are driven by our concern for the environment and the need to apply ESG principles.

Vitrintec means care for the environment

At Vitrintec, we work according to a certified Integrated Quality and Environmental Management System. We strive to respond to the challenges of the circular economy and offer products with the longest possible life cycle.

  • The components from which our products are made are up to 97% recyclable.
  • We organise transport in a way that neutralises the carbon footprint (efficient transport planning in a way that reduces the need for multiple journeys along the same route, combining transports) and continuously invest in a modern vehicle fleet.
  • We purchase raw material from suppliers within our immediate vicinity and concentrate production activities within one location, so there is no need to organise additional transport.
  • We support green transport: with us you park your bike in front of the office without having to chain it to the fence.
  • We segregate waste and are constantly striving to improve the efficiency of this process.
  • We obtain energy from photovoltaic panels.
  • We are an active member of the Świętokrzyska Hydrogen Valley, an association whose aim is to protect the environment and develop the Świętokrzyskie region by striving to create a common hydrogen value chain.

Vitrintec means caring for employees

At Vitrintec, we understand that safety, health and building close-knit teams are key to the company’s continued growth. For this reason, we strive to create the best possible conditions for our employees to work and integrate with each other.

  • We take care to build good relations between employees: we organise events to integrate teams.
  • We support employee development: we organise training to improve soft and hard skills.
  • Nearly 100 per cent of our staff work locally, but we are open to those who need help: we employ Ukrainian residents who, because of the ongoing war, were forced to leave their homeland.
  • We strongly oppose all forms of mobbing and discrimination.
  • Our office space is welcoming to people with a range of disabilities.

Vitrintec is thinking locally to change globally

Educating future engineers and architects, as well as promoting vocational education: this is the main area of support given to the local community in which we operate.

  • Every year, we evaluate theses as part of the competition for the best thesis, organised by the Academic Career Centre of the Kielce University of Technology and the Kielce Technology Park.
  • We provide financial support for scientific events such as the National Scientific Conferences organised by the Faculty of Non-ferrous Metals of the AGH University of Science and Technology, conferences organised by the Aluminium Association and other events related to the glass and aluminium industry.
  • We operate in the Kielce Technology Park, which we emphasise by participating in Kielce city initiatives. In 2022 we participated in the project "Closer to business – closer to a dream profession. Companies promoting vocational education", implemented by the Investor Service Centre of the Kielce City Hall. The aim of the project was, firstly, to promote business in vocational schools and, secondly, to raise awareness among students, their parents and teachers of the benefits of choosing a vocational school as an education option. Vitrintec presented itself as a company in the construction industry, which – once you have finished your education – is worth considering as a potential employer.

We support diversity

Employees working within our organisation: as well as social and business partners, express their willingness to counteract any discrimination in the workplace created by Vitrintec to promote and create a diverse space. At Vitrintec, we promote equality and social cohesion, and diversity and respect for human rights are integral elements of our organisation’s culture. Despite the strictly manufacturing nature of the company, we take care of so-called parity: we employ both women and men, offering both genders competitive wages.

We protect personal data

Respect for human rights does not exist without the protection of an individual’s rights, including – also – their personal data. At Vitrintec, we attach great importance to the protection of employee data, the data of our contractors and the data of external organisations working with us. For this reason, we train our employees on an ongoing basis and sensitise them to the protection of the personal data they process and on which they work.

We act ethically

The suppliers we work with are a very important part of our value chain. Thanks to them, Vitrintec is able to rapidly develop its offer so that it meets all the needs of every customer. At Vitrintec we focus on relationships, based on:

  • quality, an overall assessment of the products and services, and on opportunities for continuous improvement of both our products and service, as well as the regular customer and supplier service process;
  • implementing innovation and fostering growth through activities that improve the quality of service and products for Vitrintec's customers;
  • sustainability and a long-term, comprehensive partnership;
  • financial transparency, management of risks that may harm the parties' interests;
  • in particular, excessive financial dependence of one entity on another, or vice versa, on a technical or technological level;
  • In transactions between related parties of Vitrintec, we act on the basis of
  • on the arm's length principle, i.e. we apply transfer pricing.

Vitrintec guarantees each supplier:

  • openness and equal access to the information provided;
  • professional service;
  • compliance with applicable regulations at both national and international level, in particular those related to non-compete obligations;
  • we guarantee confidentiality to our suppliers;
  • we honour contracts, promises, commitments, in particular payment terms.

We prefer to work with suppliers who have an implemented and certified quality management system (min. ISO 9001, 14001), use environmentally friendly solutions in their production, consciously manage their packaging, use environmentally friendly forms of transport, implement good business practices and represent the highest level of professional ethics.
